Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government is “giving away everything to industrialist Gautam Adani” and looting Mumbai by taking away all the industries to Gujarat, said Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday.
Addressing a campaign rally in Trombay Cheetah camp for party’s Mumbai South Central Lok Sabha candidate, Anil Desai, Thackeray said, “They are planning to shift the people of Dharavi to salt pan land in Mulund and planning to give away that salt pan land to Adani. They are giving away everything to Adani… be it airport, be it Dharavi or MSRDC office of Bandra reclamation…”
Adding that they were “eyeing” Mumbai now, the Sena UBT leader said, “They (BJP) are looting Mumbai in a broad day light.”
Drawing parallel to a character in an Aamir Khan starrer movie, Thackeray termed the Modi government as “Ghajini government”. “I call this government Ghajini government because what they said in 2014, they did not remember in 2019. Now they don’t remember what was said in 2019. Tomorrow they will not remember what they promised today,” he said.
Daring PM Modi take out the roadshow from Dharavi and Trombay Cheetah camp area, Thackeray said, “He is going to take out a road show in Mumbai. Modiji, I request you to take out a road show from this area and see the state of the people who live here. You do Mann Ki Baat, you should come here and See what is Jan ki Baat.”
Alleging that Modi is insulting Maharashtra and is autocratic, Thackeray said the PM does not care about the people but cares only about his own position.
In an interview to its party mouthpiece Saamana — published on Sunday, Uddhav had claimed that the country will see “black days” if the Modi government is not defeated in this general elections.
