The D N Nagar police, investigating the murder of former Miss Chennai and actress Bidushi Dash, have written to the Kalina forensic laboratory to expedite the process of analysing the finger nail samples taken from her husband Kedar Barde. The samples were sent after the police found scratch marks on her neck.
Police said after the post-mortem report of Bidushi pointed out that she was murdered, they made Kedar a prime suspect in the case. It is not clear whether the scratch marks on her neck and face were from someones nails or the glass shards found around her body. But we are not taking any chances, said a police officer from the D N Nagar police station.
We have not give Kedar or the others a clean chit, said Pratap Dighavkar,Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 9).
The forensic department has been requested to give us a report as soon as possible so we can take the investigation forward. We are probing all possible angles but if Kedars reports are negative,we will consider other angles as well, added the officer.
Kedar had told the police that he left home for work around 8 am on the day of the murder. He said he had called Bidushi an hour later but she did not answer her phone. Around 9 pm,he returned home to find his wife in a pool of blood in their apartment in Manish Garden building at Andheri (west),Kedar had told the police.
