BJP leader Subramanian Swamy on Sunday said that Union Minister of Surface Transport Nitin Gadkari is not being allowed to work freely in New Delhi.

At a function held in Chandrapur, Swamy said, “Gadkari is a very efficient and good minister. But he is not getting a free hand to work.”

Gadkari, however, was not present at the function. Among those who were present included Union Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilisers Hansraj Ahir and Maharashtra Finance Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar.

Swamy’s refused to elaborate on who was creating problems for Gadakari. “Gadkari is my friend. I don’t want to put him in trouble,” Swamy said. None of the cabinet ministers or BJP leaders were willing to comment on Swamy’s remarks.
