Nigerian arrested with drugs worth Rs 13.5 crore

The Anti-Narcotics Cell of Mumbai Police Crime Branch arrested on Friday morning Nigerian national Izzi Christopher for allegedly possessing 13.5 kg of amphetamine worth Rs 13.5 crore.

The Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) of Mumbai Police Crime Branch arrested on Friday morning Nigerian national Izzi Christopher (34) for allegedly possessing 13.5 kg of amphetamine worth Rs 13.5 crore. “A trap was laid near Parsi Colony and as soon as Christopher arrived,our officers nabbed him,” said DCP (ANC) Vinayak Deshmukh. Christopher was booked under sections of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985. He was produced in court and has been remanded in police custody till September 15.
