NCB arrests 4 with ganja worth Rs 2 crore from Ahmednagar

Mumbai’s Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) busted an inter-state drug syndicate and seized 111 kg ganja from two vehicles, and arrested four people in Ahmednagar on Sunday.

Working on credible tips, NCB officials gathered intelligence about the syndicate that was involved in illicit trafficking of drugs from Odisha to Mumbai and Pune for further distribution.

Using surveillance and other methods, NCB tried to identify the network and soon narrowed down on a Pune-based network, which was reported to have received a consignment of Ganja scheduling for distribution.

The suspects involved in the interstate drug trafficking frequently changed their hideouts, routes and phone numbers in order to elude the clutches of the law enforcement agency.
