Navi Mumbai to get one of India’s largest radiation therapy centres
The Navi Mumbai facility is part of ICICI Bank’s Rs 1,800 crore commitment to support the Tata Memorial Centre in establishing three cancer care hospitals across the country.

(File Photo) Navi Mumbai is set to get one of India’s largest radiation therapy facilities with the commencement of construction of a new cancer care building at Tata Memorial Centre’s (TMC) Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC). The project, funded through ICICI Bank’s CSR contribution of Rs 625 crore, will significantly expand the region’s cancer care infrastructure.
The 11-storey building ‘ICICI Foundation Block for Radiation Oncology’ will be spread over 3.4 lakh square feet and house 12 state-of-the-art Linear Accelerators (LINACs) and other advanced equipment for precise radiation delivery. Once operational, it will provide radiation therapy to around 7,200 patients annually, and consultations and diagnostics to 25,000 new outpatients each year. The facility is expected to be completed by 2027.
