A woman’s brutal murder by her live-in partner in Mumbai’s Mira Road has brought back the haunting memories of Delhi’s Shraddha Walkar case. The 56-year-old man killed his 36-year-old partner at their residence in Mira Road and a sequence of gory events followed. Here is what we know in the case so far:

What neighbours said: The accused was recently seen feeding stray dogs, something that they said he never used to do before; heard the sound of a spray from the flat; couple did not interact with neighbours or attend society’s events; accused told foul smell emanating from his flat could be from the society’s drainage system where cleaning work was going on.
