Mumbai: Minor fire at Express Towers

People were evacuated from the building but no injuries were reported.

A minor fire broke out on the 20th floor of Express Towers building in Nariman Point on Thursday afternoon.

People were evacuated from the building but no injuries were reported.

Fire officials said the cause of the fire appeared to be a short-circuit and added that there was no major damage to the building.

Five fire engines and four water tankers were rushed to the spot and the fire was doused by 5 pm. The building became operational within the next hour.
