Mumbai: Marol Naka emerges as busiest Metro station

The Marol Naka station on Metro Line 3 has emerged as the busiest station on the newly operational line, thanks to its seamless connectivity with the elevated Metro Line 1, which connects Ghatkopar to Versova.

As per Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRCL), between November 1 and 13, Marol Naka recorded 45,000 riders, outperforming other stations. Santacruz ranked second with 32,091 riders, followed by Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) with 27,749 riders during the same period.

Since its partial launch on October 7, Metro Line 3 has witnessed a total ridership of over 6 lakh in its first month, averaging 20,000 daily commuters. The first phase spans 11.4 km, connecting Aarey to BKC via 10 underground stations. The remaining section is expected to open next year.
