One person was killed in a fire, which broke out at Chitrakoot grounds behind Andheri Sports complex in Andheri at 4.28 pm on Friday. Manish Devashi (32) was declared brought dead by Cooper Hospital. The details behind his death is awaited.
The fire broke out in a temporarily erected set for a film shoot, the Mumbai Fire Brigade said. The fire brigade pressed eight fire engines, five jumbo tankers, one water tanker, one quick response vehicle, and one breathing apparatus van to the sport for firefighting.

The fire was reported to the BMC by a NDRF team stationed at Andheri Sports Complex.
Hemant Parab, Chief Fire officer, Mumbai Fire Brigade, said, “The concerned party was constructing a temporary film set that caught fire, and has been damaged considerably.”
Dhaval Shah, a resident of the area, and an eyewitness said, “The fire is pretty massive, and the entire structure is completely gutted.”
