Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole, who accused Modi of attempting to mislead the public and perpetuate Muslim hatred.
“Yesterday, he (Modi) said his relationship with Muslims is strong and that he would unworthy of public life if he indulged in ‘Hindu-Muslim’. The same Modi made yet another desperate attempt to mislead the public by emphasising on the construction of Ram Mandir and displayed his hatred towards Muslims in a public meeting today. People will not fall prey to Modi’s false claims,” said Patole even as he lambasted Modi for propagating false ideas about the Congress manifesto, particularly regarding reservation.
“While it is clear that RSS and BJP are opposed to reservation, the allegations that the Congress is against the SC, ST and OBCs and the reservation will be taken away and given to Muslims is baseless. People sitting in key positions, like the Prime Minister, are expected to speak with some dignity but it seems that Narendra Modi can’t say anything different than speaking lies, something that the RSS has taught him,” said the Congress leader.
