Fire broke out inside a godown in the Kismat Nagar area of Kurla West (Pic: ANI)A major fire broke out inside a godown in Kurla West’s Kismat Nagar in Mumbai on Thursday evening, officials said. According to the Mumbai Fire Brigade, multiple fire tenders were rushed to the scene after the department was alerted.
Firefighters were engaged in containment operations and worked to stop the blaze from spreading to adjoining buildings. No injury has been reported so far. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined.

The incident comes two days after a massive blaze at the Shree Rajlaxmi Commercial Complex in Bhiwandi’s Kalher area in Thane district. Fire Officer Bapu Sonwane told ANI that teams reached the spot soon after receiving an alert around 8 pm and evacuated nearby residential areas as a precaution.

“We saw a huge fire on the second floor when we reached. There is a residential area nearby. We evacuated that area. We are working to put out the fire,” Sonwane said.
