A man was found dead inside his Thane apartment after neighbours complained of a stench from his house.
The Rabodi police have registered an accidental death report and are awaiting postmortem results. Police said prima facie,evidence suggests that he could have suffered a heart attack. He was found lying on the couch with the television still on.
“There was leftover food by his side and he seems to have died while watching television. The neighbours have told us that they could hear the TV from his house for two days. Calls from his friends also went unanswered,” he said.
His body was swollen,indicating that he might have died at least two days ago,the police said. The police will now be calling his colleagues and friends for questioning.
