A 20-year-old man sneaked into the house of a relative Wednesday morning and battered a woman to death.
Accused Jitendra Dubey, who works in an embroidery unit, occasionally shared a room with his taxi driver uncle Satyaprakash. He also paid Satyaprakash Rs 2,300 for dinner every month.
His aunt Sanju lived in village. On March 6,she came to visit Satyaprakash with neice Neetu (16). On Monday,Jitendra was late for dinner which irked Sanju and she abused him.
While Satyaprakash left for work in the night, the two continued to quarrel. When Satyarakash got to know of the quarrel he beat Jitendra and barred him, said Ansar Peerzade, senior inspector.
The following night, after Satyaprakash left for work,Jitendra entered the house through the window. Jitendra wrapped a brick in Sanjus dupatta and smashed her head with it. He gagged Neetu and hit her on the head. She fell unconscious, said Peerzade.
Wednesday morning, she regained consciousness and raised an alarm.
