Unable to attain a modicum of consistency in their performance, former champions Mahindra United would look to bounce back from their last match reversal when they lock horns with newcomers Chirag United Sports Club in an away fixture of the I-League to be played at the Salt Lake Stadium,Kolkata on Sunday.

The underperforming Jeepmen will be looking to pick themselves up and quickly move away from the shadows of relegation by aiming for a maximum three points against the Kolkata side, who are an extremely difficult team to break down, especially at home.

Finishing has been a problem area for Mahindra United throughout, which was clearly evident in their last match, where the missed chances came back to haunt the Mumbai side as they failed to put the game beyond Churchill Brothers’reach in the first half itself. Languishing in the bottom half of the league table,Mahindra United are struggling third from bottom with 12 points just behind their opponents, who with 13 points have suffered just one defeat at home so far.
