Maharashtra targets 85% conversion of MoUs to be inked at WEF meeting in Davos
The government has set a deadline of March 31 to execute the maximum number of MoUs.

(Express photo by Sankhadeep Banerjee) The Maharashtra industry department Thursday said it has set a target of signing MoUs worth Rs 7 lakh crore at the upcoming annual World Economic Forum meeting (January 20 to 24) at Davos in Switzerland.
“Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu are the two states in the country with the highest conversion rate of MoUs. This time we have raised the bar and plan to achieve 80 to 85 per cent conversion rate,” a senior official from the industries department said.
The government has also set a deadline of March 31 to execute the maximum number of MoUs.
The official said that the department held review meetings on the last two meets at Davos and the experiences garnered by the state government while converting the MoUs into investment. “It will help us improve our approach this time and rectify any mistakes, if at all. It will troubleshoot the problems,” the official added.
