Loksatta’s Tarun Tejankit awards: One can achieve the pinnacle of success only by struggling in life, says Gadkari

“We must have confidence while working, but should not be arrogant,” said the senior BJP leader. “Even after receiving an award or being praised for our achievements, one should not be satisfied with it and continue working for the greater good without stopping,” he said.

Heaping praise on Loksatta, The Indian Express group and the esteemed judges, Gadkari said, “‘Loksatta’ has selected these award winners in a very impartial and meticulous manner. These awards are not only important for these Tarun Tejankit (award recipients), but it is also important for the society, since it inspires those working in various sectors of society.”

Stating that good work is not appreciated or honored in the government and those who do bad work are not punished, Gadkari said, “Skill and hard work are important to succeed in every field of life and shortcuts cannot be taken. While working in any field, it is not possible to just speak about the problems. One has to work with a mindset that I will solve them by doing anything, only then can one reach the peak of success,” said the Union Minister.
