Lankan aircraft carrying horses from Pakistan leaves Pune

Sources said the eight horses in the aircraft were being sent to Colombo from Islamabad as part of a friendly exchange between armies of Pakistan and Sri Lankan.

The special transport aircraft carrying horses from Pakistan to Sri Lanka, which had made an emergency landing at Pune International Airport, took off at 4 am on Friday.

Soon, sleuths from Indian intelligence agencies and the police reached the airport after which horses and their Pakistani handlers were stationed at the Pune Race Course. Sources said the eight horses in the aircraft were being sent to Colombo from Islamabad as part of a friendly exchange between armies of Pakistan and Sri Lankan.
