Kin bring back bodies of J&K blast victims

The families of the three victims killed in a bus explosion at Bijbehara in Kashmir on Saturday brought back their bodies to Mumbai on Monday evening on an Air India flight.

The families of the three victims killed in a bus explosion at Bijbehara in Kashmir on Saturday brought back their bodies to Mumbai on Monday evening on an Air India flight.

Yogesh Rathore,nephew of Nirmala Rathore,one of the deceased,said,“We have brought the bodies back to the city. The last rites will be performed tomorrow. We cannot believe that we lost them while they had gone on a pilgrimage. It has been a shock for the whole family.

Besides Nirmala,Nisha Jethwa and Bharti Purohit also died in the blast. Neeta Jethwa and Jaswanti Thakkar,who suffered injuries,have been discharged and are back to Mumbai. Yogesh said the exact cause of the blast is not known.

“We were more worried about our family and wanted to get the injured back to the city,” he said. Nirmala was traveling with her relatives and friends.

Indu Parmar,who is seriously injured,Geeta Jethwa and Jayshri Desai — all related to Nirmala — are being treated at a hospital in Kashmir. They will return after they are discharged. The families of all the injured are in Kashmir and have been taking care of the injured. The family members of the deceased said that driver Ashok Kumar,from Jammu,escaped with minor injuries.
