Another witness to the 2011 murder of two youths Keenan Santos (24) and Reuben Fernandes (29) in Andheri, has identified the four accused and the weapons used by them on Tuesday. The witness, in her deposition to the designated Judge had “identified the vulgar comments” made by the accused and the knife used by them, said special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam. So far, 11 witnesses have testified in the court.
According to Nikam, the “prime witness” who deposed in court on Tuesday was a friend of both the victims and was witness to the incident on October 20, 2011, when Keenan and Reuben were stabbed after a tussle between them and a few others who allegedly sexually harassed their female friends, near a paan shop at Amboli in Andheri (West). The defence in the case, is yet to make its submissions in the court. Arrested accused Jitendra Rana, Sunil Bodh, Satish Dulhaj and Dipak Tival have been booked for murder, criminal conspiracy, using word, gesture or committing any act intended to insult the modesty of a woman and intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace and sections of the Bombay Police Act.
