In 9 days, Mumbai gets over 50 % average rain for July
According to the figures, the Santacruz observatory has recorded 494 mm of rainfall so far, which is 57% of 855.7 mm, which is the required quota of average rain in July.

on Sunday. PTI As Mumbai continue to experience heavy rain, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that the city has already received more than 50% of the average monthly quota for July within just nine days of this month.
According to the figures, the Santacruz observatory has recorded 494 mm of rainfall so far, which is 57% of 855.7 mm, which is the required quota of average rain in July.
It is pertinent to note that monsoon onset in Mumbai took place on June 25, which was delayed by nearly two weeks.
Irrespective of this, the city has been recording heavy to very heavy rain and the IMD’s Santacruz observatory has also surpassed the 1000 mm rainfall of this season by recording 1,031 mm to date. Also in June, the city had surpassed the average monthly quota as it recorded 550 mm rainfall against its monthly quota of 537 mm.
