Help, kin arrested for stealing jewellery from businessman’s house
As per the complaint filed by the businessman, the accused stole an expensive watch, a diamond necklace, diamond earrings, a diamond-studded bracelet, a gold necklace, a gold chain and other diamond ornaments worth Rs 1.98 crore.

Businessman Sharadkumar Sham Sangi, a resident of Carmichael Road in Cumbala Hill, filed a complaint on Friday after discovering that the ornaments were missing from his bedroom’s locker.
Suspecting the help’s hand in the theft, the family informed the police.
The police said that during interrogation, the domestic help admitted to having committed the theft with the help of his relative.
“The probe revealed that the help and her relative, between March 22 and April 14, allegedly stole valuables from the locker of his employer’s bedroom and hid it,” an officer said.
