Gym owner who duped clients of membership fee arrested from Nashik

ACP S Pujari said Talwalkar was arrested by Gangpur police in Nashik for cheating and was brought to the city on transfer warrant.

RAHUL TALWALKAR, who headed the Talwalkar gym at Borivali, was on Tuesday placed under arrest by the MHB Colony police station in Borivali for allegedly cheating gym members of nearly Rs 9.79 lakh. As per police, 57 members of the gym who had paid membership fee at the gym,lost money when the gym was shut down and Rahul went missing. In 2014, several members of the gym had approached the MHB Colony police station after the gym had shut. While Rahul had been called in the questioning he was untraceable soon after that.

ACP S Pujari said Talwalkar was arrested by Gangpur police in Nashik for cheating and was brought to the city on transfer warrant. “We formally arrested him on Tuesday in connection with the FIR registered against him in the past. He has been remanded to police custody till February 5,” Pujari added.
