Over a year after the alleged murder of Synergy Adlabs creative head Neeraj Grover by actor Maria Susairaj and her fiance Emile Jerome, the defence has now sought more time to inspect the crime spot before examining more witnesses in the case. Defence lawyer Raja Thakur appearing for Jerome told the court that he wanted to carry out a thorough inspection of the spot before examining more witnesses.

“The prosecution’s claim that the body was recovered from deep in the wilderness is not accepted by the defence and hence we want to convince ourselves before we proceed,” said Thakur.

The prosecution contented that Suairaj and Jerome had cut Grover’s body into pieces and disposed of them in the Manor jungles.

The police could retrieve only pieces of his skull, ribs and thigh bone. “We plan to travel to the spot once again and reconstruct the incident mentioned in the chargesheet,” added Thakur.
