Attacking the Congress-NCP on corruption,Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray said Union Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar and Congress MP and Commonwealth Games organising committee chairman Suresh Kalmadi needed to be gifted with rotten wheat and toilet paper respectively.

“Gift Sharad Pawar with rotten wheat for wasting away wheat and present Suresh Kalmadi with toilet tissue paper for the Commonwealth scam,” Uddhav said in a statement on the front page of party organ ‘Saamna’ on Friday.

“The Congress-NCP believes in making money on the side in everything. All of them are in line. Whose resignations should we seek?” he said, while questioning why Pawar’s resignation should not be sought for the wheat rotting away in the open (in Punjab). He also criticised Pawar for not being serious on the issue of inflation.
