The verbal jousting between the BJP and Shiv Sena hit a new low with Mumbai BJP President Ashish Shelar asking the Sena to understand international issues before commenting on them and instead asked the alliance partner to concentrate on eradicating problems in Mumbai.
“Every one has the right to comment on Kashmir or Indo-Pak relationship. However before our ally comments on these issues why does it not take action on contractors who do do not work properly in cleaning up Mumbai’s drains? It would be better if our ally concentrates more on controlling the outbreak of leptospirosis in the Mumbai,” Mumbai BJP president Ashish Shelar said.
Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray had on Friday termed the new found thaw in India-Pakistan relationship as “unfortunate”.
Shelar hit back at Thackeray and said that the Sena should study international issues before making such comments. “We would have been happy if our ally had done some basic study about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s plan of visiting Pakistan. This meeting will be beneficial to India,” Shelar added.
