Meanwhile, MMMOCL in coordination with BEST has started premium AC bus services from Gundavali Metro station to BKC. This has come as a major relief to Metro commuters facing last-mile connectivity issues while travelling to BKC.
The bus services (no. S-112) will be available towards BKC from 7.30 am till 11.40 am and towards Gundavali station from 5.40 pm till 8:15 pm. In a day, there will be 29 trips with 16 downwards (BKC) and 13 upwards (Gundavali) making 21 stops along the way. The fares will be between Rs 60 and Rs 90 depending on the distance traveled. To avail this facility commuters will have to download BEST’s Chalo Bus app and book their tickets.
“This service has been specially started to benefit Metro commuters who alight at Gundavali station and travel daily up to BKC. We have been focusing on providing facilities like parking spaces near Metro stations and electric bikes for last-mile connectivity. We plan to build synergies and create a robust framework so that Mumbaikars can travel comfortably,” Srinivas said.
