“The vehicle was intercepted at the Worli exit of the sea link and the driver was arrested. He was not found to be drunk at the time of the incident,” said deputy commissioner of police S Jayakumar, Zone III. The driver has been identified as Samvit Tara, a Juhu resident who deals in home decor, said sources.
The incident started going viral on social media on Tuesday evening following claims by certain elements that Arnab was driving the car. The rumour seems to have stemmed out of a photo showing him standing next to the car. However, the Times of India soon clarified that Arnab was just the responsible citizen in this story.
