Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde Mahesh Jethmalani, lawyer representing Chief Minister Eknath Shinde-led Sena, in the hearing of disqualification petitions filed against both factions of Sena by each other, has claimed that all documents submitted by Uddhav Thackeray-led Sena before Assembly speaker Rahul Narwekar in the petitions against Shinde-led Sena MLAs are fake.
During the hearing in the Vidhan Sabha on Tuesday, Jethmalani questioned Uddhav-led Sena MLA about the affidavits as well as the resolution for filing disqualification petition against rebel MLAs passed by undivided Sena on June 21, when Shinde and other MLAs rebelled against Uddhav’s leadership. He also said that no such decision was made for the bogus disqualification petition. Jethmalani also claimed that MLA (Shinde faction) Dilip Lande’s signature on the resolution was different.
All claims were, however, rejected by Shiv Sena (UBT) MLA Sunil Prabhu who was the chief whip of undivided Sena.
