Court rejects NCB’s plea to cancel bail to Bharti Singh, husband

The agency said that no opportunity was given to them to oppose the bail plea and hence the order was illegal.

The special court, in a recent order, said that the magistrate court had kept the case for the reply of the NCB but neither the prosecutor nor investigator remained present.

“Therefore, it is not the case that the prosecution was not given opportunity to oppose the application but it is fault on the part of the prosecution that they did not avail the opportunity to file reply…” the special court said adding that the magistrate’s court order granting them bail was not illegal. The court also said that there are no allegations that Singh or Limbachiya had done any violations of the conditions of their bail.
