Court breather for two ‘rave’ party guests

A special Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) court on Monday granted a temporary relief to two persons who had attended a party in Juhu that was raided by the police.

A special Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) court on Monday granted a temporary relief to two persons who had attended a party in Juhu that was raided by the police.

Special judge Justice G A Sanap asked the police not to arrest Supratik Roy and Amit Gaur,till June 27 and asked the investigating officer in the case to file a report in the court by then. This was after the two filed anticipatory bail applications before the court through their lawyer Taraq Sayed. The police said 44 people present at the party later tested positive for consumption of narcotics. The court has also asked the police to clarify under which Sections of the NDPS Act,1985,the two applicants have been booked. The applications will be heard on Wednesday.
