The Mumbai Police will conduct a review of the security at Matoshree, the residence of Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray in Bandra East, after a domestic help employed there attacked another domestic help with a kitchen knife over a personal issue.
Matoshree, where the late Sena supremo Bal Thackeray resided, has had high security after threats from terrorist organisations.
The police said two cooks, Sewak and Pandit, got into a fight over a petty issue following which Sewak attacked Pandit with a kitchen knife. While no one sustained severe injuries, a case was made out against Sewak and he was arrested.
“While it is not a case of someone attacking that place and more of an in-house issue, we will conduct a security check to find out if there was any lapses that could be exploited in the future. While in all cases periodic reviews of security are conducted, in this particular case a review may take place immediately,” said a senior officer.
