Rope in consultants to modernise ND Studio, boost business opportunities: Ashish Shelar

State Cultural Affairs Minister Ashish Shelar on Monday said that expert consultants must be appointed to oversee the the modernisation of ND studio with focus on creating maximum employment opportunities.
Shelar held a review meeting regarding the modernisation of ND Studio at Mantralaya, which was attended by the officials of the departments concerned, Principal Secretary of the Cultural Affairs Vikas Kharge and senior officials from Film City and ND Studio.
“ND Studio must be upgraded to align with the evolving trends in the cinema and entertainment sector, ensuring its relevance in a competitive industry,” the minister said.
Towards this objective, expert consultants must be engaged to prepare a comprehensive modernisation plan, he said.
The plan must focus on creating maximum employment opportunities, with emphasis on giving priority to the locals, he added.
Shelar also said that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has strongly advocated providing the state government’s supplementary facilities to Marathi producers, artists and technicians.
Emphasising on using the available vacant space at the studio effectively, he also highlighted the importance of equipping it with modern facilities to attract more tourists, professionals and producers, thereby increasing its revenue potential.
