Chavan goes into damage control mode

Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan on Saturday swung into damage control mode to restore the credibility of the Special Investigation Team set up to probe the alleged irrigation scam. He said the panel,headed by Madhav Chitale,was free to accept submissions from individuals related to irregularities in irrigation projects.

Chavan said,“There is a provision that clearly states if any irregularities are established action will be taken against the guilty.”
