The Central Railway will carry out a mega block on its suburban sections on Sunday, November 30, to undertake essential engineering and maintenance work. The block will affect both the Main Line and Harbour Line, resulting in diversions, cancellations, and modified services for several hours.

On the Main Line, up and down slow services (trains departing CSMT and heading to CSMT, respectively) between CSMT Mumbai and Vidyavihar will be diverted onto the fast lines between 10.55 am and 3.55 pm.

Trains heading to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) between 10.48 am and 3.45 pm will halt at Byculla, Parel, Dadar, Matunga, Sion, and Kurla before rejoining the slow line at Vidyavihar. Trains departing CSMT from Ghatkopar between 10.19 am and 3.52 pm will similarly run on the fast line, stopping at Kurla, Sion, Matunga, Dadar, Parel, and Byculla.

On the Harbour Line, both ‘up’ and ‘down’ services between Panvel and Vashi (excluding the PORT line) will be affected from 11.05 am to 4.05 pm. Harbour trains from Panvel to CSMT (10.33 am –3.49 pm) and Harbour trains from CSMT to Belapur/Panvel (9.45–15.12 hrs) will be cancelled.

On the Trans-Harbour Line, trains from Panvel to Thane (11.02 am –3.53 pm) departing from CSMT and trains from Thane to Panvel (10.01 am –3.20 pm) heading to CSMT will also not run. During the block period, special local trains will operate between CSMT and Vashi, and Trans-Harbour services will be available between Thane–Vashi/Nerul stations. PORT line services will continue as normal, said railway authorities.
