Central nod for road infra projects in Maharashtra

These works will be funded under the Centre’s flagship Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.

In a boost to infrastructure works in the state,the Centre has approved proposals for roads worth Rs 354 crore.

These works will be funded under the Centre’s flagship Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana.

Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan said on Saturday he had received a communication confirming the approvals for the road works from Union Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh.

The CMO said the Centre had approved 105 road improvement proposals and another 29 for construction of bridges.
