Attacked by brother, Navi Mumbai man rides to hospital with a knife in neck; survives after surgery
The police said that the man was alone at home when his brother sneaked inside the house and allegedly stabbed him in the neck. Efforts are on to trace the accused.

A 30-year-old businessman who was allegedly stabbed in the neck by his brother inside his house in Navi Mumbai miraculously survived after he rode a bike to a nearby hospital and got admitted there all by himself, officials said.
The police said that the incident took place late on Saturday when the victim identified as Tejas Patil was sleeping inside his house at Sanpada.
The police said that his brother, Monish, sneaked inside the house after which he allegedly stabbed him in his neck and escaped. Patil has however alleged that the brother was accompanied by his friend, said an official.
The Sanpada police have registered a case of an attempt to murder against his brother.
“His brother, who attacked him inside his house at Sanpada, is still on the run and we are trying to trace him,” said senior police inspector Bapurao Deshmukh who has confirmed the development.
The police believe that the incident has taken place because of a fallout between the two brothers over a property issue.
“Patil’s wife had gone to her maternal house and the incident happened when he was alone at home. The victim was alert enough to understand that he was stabbed after which he rushed to MPCT Hospital all by himself with a knife pierced through his neck following which the knife was removed and surgery was conducted by the doctors due to which Patil was saved,” an officer said.
He is recuperating in the hospital, said the police.
