A seven-year-old boy died while his two siblings sustained injuries when they were knocked down by a school bus going on the Ghatkopar-Andheri Link Road on Thursday.

Police said Ashok Murgan, his brother Suresh (12), and sister Laxmi (10), were returning to their home at Kamraj Nagar from the municipality school at Laxmi Nagar in Ghatkopar on Thursday afternoon.

While they were crossing the road, a school bus knocked them down. Ashok died on the spot, while the injured were rushed to Rajawadi Hospital. The police later arrested school bus driver Jallauddin Shaikh (25), on the charge of causing death due to negligence and rash driving. ENS
