Bookie-turned-builder shot at,hunt on for suspects

Ajay Gosalia was also shot at a few years ago. However,police found he had planned the attack on himself

An alleged Chhota Shakeel aide was shot at by an unidentified man outside Infiniti Mall in Malad (West) Wednesday. Police said the suspect had arrived at the spot along with others in an Innova.

The victim,Ajay Gosalia alias Ganda,is a bookie turned builder,said an officer. He is undergoing treatment at a hospital.

The police are now on the trail of the suspect. The police said at 4 pm,Ganda and his friend parked their car inside the Goregaon Sports Club and were walking towards the mall,when the man came running towards him and fired. One bullet brushed past his shoulder,the other was fired in the air,while the third hit Ganda’s leg.

The police said that Ganda had been fired at on the Borivali railway tracks a few years ago. After investigation,the police had found that he had planned ther attack on himself.

Police say they have found a few loopholes in this case,too.

The incident has been captured by CCTV cameras at the mall entrance. “We have registered a case and are investigating the matter,” said a police officer.

Ganda was also a co-accused in a Malad land-grab case.
