Confusion prevailed over officials from the development plan (DP) department at the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) headquarters a day after Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis ordered the corporation to rework on the plan.

A senior civic official from the department said, “We have been hearing the news from various media outlets, but we do not have a clear idea on what the next step is.”

As suggestions and objections continue to pour in the headquarters, officials are still waiting to know what the next step would be.

Meanwhile, Municipal Commissioner Sitaram Kunte skipped an event titled ‘Housing for all’ on Wednesday at the National Centre for Performing Arts, Nariman Point. Though Kunte was to address the gathering in the first half of the day, officials said he was out of town.

“He will not be addressing any gathering for a few days,” a senior civic official said.
