The Nashik police is probing an alleged threat letter to former Deputy Chief Minister and NCP party leader Chhagan Bhujbal. No case has been registered so far.
The letter, which was found at his Nashik farm by his staff on Sunday morning, was given to the police. “We have got the letter and are probing who dropped it and why,” Nashik Commissioner of Police Ravindra Singhal told The Indian Express.
When contacted Bhujbal confirmed about the complaint. “I have got to know about a three-page letter in which abusive language has been used for me for speaking against Manusmruti and Shiv Pratishthan Hindustan chief Sambhaji Bhide. I have been repeatedly threatened in the letter to stop this with a warning that I will have to face similar punishment like Dabholkar and Kalburgi. I don’t want to give much importance to it. I will not stop my work just because somebody is writing me such letters. I will continue to do my work and won’t fear anybody,” Bhujbal told mediapersons.
