The state government has revoked the suspension of former deputy superintendent of Arthur Road Jail, P A Pathrikar, who was arrested on bribery charges in 2014. A case filed against the two by the ACB is still pending in court. A departmental inquiry was also instituted against Pathrikar who had subsequently moved the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal. The tribunal ordered in favour of his reinstatement. “…Pathrikar is being reinstated in service,” an order from the home department said. He has been asked to take charge at Daulatrao Jadhav Jail Officers Training College, Pune.
