4 held with weapons in Jalgaon

Four persons have been arrested from Jalgaon district in North Maharashtra for illegally possessing weapons,police said on Wednesday.

Four persons have been arrested from Jalgaon district in North Maharashtra for illegally possessing weapons,police said on Wednesday. A countrymade pistol,eight live catridges,four mobile phones and an SUV was recovered from them,after they were apprehended on Shirpur-Chopda road by a patrol team on Tuesday night,they said.

All the four accused — Rahul Sonawane (22),Mayur Bankar (25),Pankaj prakash Ise (22) and Nitin Savkar (22),hail from Nashik,they said. A few hockey sticks,nylon rope and chilly powder were also recovered from them. Police suspect the gang was with the intention to loot vehicles.
