The Dharavi police on Monday arrested four youths for murdering a 24-year-old man. The victim,Miraj Khan, was stabbed to death in a salon in Dharavi on Sunday.
Khan,a Shatabdi Nagar-resident,and his friend Nitin Jaiswal had gone to a salon in the area at around 6.30 pm on Sunday. As they were waiting for their turn,a group of four youths reeking of liquor entered the salon. They had consumed alcohol and one of them was chewing paan. When some betel juice fell on Khan,he shouted at the youths. He asked them to behave well in public places. Enraged at this, one of the accused slashed Khans neck with a shaving blade and the others repeatedly stabbed him with scissors, said Senior Police Inspector Hemant Patil of the Dharavi police station.

Finally, one of his uncles came to the spot after hearing about the incident and rushed Khan to the Sion Hospital. Khan, who was profusely bleeding, succumbed to his injuries before reaching the hospital. Meanwhile, the accused fled the area, said Patil.
