Women from police lines get fashion designing training

A free six-week course in fashion designing at Sportking Institute of Fashion Technology concluded on Friday,with 18 women from police lines obtaining valuable knowledge about garments,materials and fashion designing.

The workshop was designed by Seerat Gill Bassi,a senior faculty of Design and Fashion,who took the onus of grooming specially pattern making,fabric handling,fabric characteristics (knits,woven) and correct fabric placement. “Garment construction” – on SNLS (Single Needle Lock Stitch) was the highlight of the workshop where threading and machine handling with individual attention was provided to each candidate.
