Head injury has been cited as the reason for the death of teenager Sachin Gupta,whose body was found from his neighbours house. The police have not been able to make any headway into the case. The 18-year-old boy was cremated in the city on Wednesday morning.
Though Police Commissioner Ishwar Singh stated that his team was investigating the case,sources revealed that the focus of investigation was more on the domestic help,Chotu,who was arrested on Tuesday.
Police said that Chotu used to clean the car of Vijay Gupta,Sachins father,and the family reportedly owed him Rs 1,200,so he disliked the family.
Sachin went missing on May 4 and his body was found on May 7 from an almirah in a store room of a playway centre that was being run on the ground floor of a building,while Sachin lived with his family on the first floor.
Sources revealed that Chotu used to go to the store room for several work. Singh said,Our team has been investigating the case and will soon crack the case.
The police had on Tuesday arrested Daviner,owner of the building where the body was found,his son Manjit Singh and their wives.
The residents of the locality were taken aback by the incident and wanted to set Davinders house on fire,but the police calmed their tempers.
