‘Spread the Warmth’ campaign begins

The foundation was formed in remembrance of journalist Amrita Chaudhry of The Indian Express.

As part of its ‘Spread the Warmth campaign,’ Spirit of Amrita Foundation is collecting woollen clothes. They intent to distribute it among the poor and needy.

People can donate woollens and other warm clothes at their collection centre at Sarabha Nagar main market.

‘Spirit of Amrita Foundation’ was formed in fond remembrance of journalist Amrita Chaudhry (principal correspondent with The Indian Express) who died on October 22, 2012 in a road accident.

Through the campaign, the foundation wants to spread awareness on the impact of poverty on families and communities of lesser fortunate.

Thanking those who have been donating for the cause, Gurpreet Singh Harry, coordinator of the campaign, requested other city residents to come forward for the cause.

One can bring new or old warm clothesin wearable condition, blankets, quilts or other items to help the poor.
