Senior journalist passes away

Ashok Singhi,city based special correspondent of Dainik Bhaskar,passed away at Hero Heart Center on Sunday afternoon.

Ashok Singhi,city based special correspondent of Dainik Bhaskar,passed away at Hero Heart Center on Sunday afternoon. He is survived by wife,two daughters and a son. He was cremated in the evening at Civil Lines Crematorium. People from different walks of life including Deputy Commissioner Rahul Tiwari and state Tourism minister Hira Singh Gabria attended his cremation.

Parkash Singh Badal,Chief Minister,Punjab,too expressed profound grief and sorrow over the demise of Singhi.

Born on July 18,1956,Singhi started his career in journalism in early 80s with Dainik Tribune. He worked with Hindi newspapers such as

Jansatta,Amar Ujala and Dianik Bhaskar. He was National Organising Secretary of Indian Media Center and actively raised many issues related to journalists.
