Scolded,3 sisters ran away, reunited by cops after a month

The girls managed to reach Phillaur where they went to N K Dhabha and said their parents had expired,so they needed jobs.

After being scolded by parents and also facing financial problems at home, three sisters ran away on November 7. They were found by Sadar police station on Sunday.

The police handed the girls over to the parents after counselling them and getting an assurance from them that they would take care of them in a proper manner.

The girls — Neha,13,Vandana,9,and Sanjana,7 — had run away from their house located at Threeke village and it was not their first attempt. Their father Man Bahadur had lodged a complaint with the police station and the police authorities had put out advertisements in this connection in various newspapers.

The girls managed to reach Phillaur where they went to N K Dhabha and said their parents had expired,so they needed jobs. For the past one month, they had been at the dhabha only and the dhabha owner had been regularly informing the area police station about these missing girls. But the local police did not take it seriously.

After reading about the missing girls in a newspaper, the dhabha owner approached the area sarpanch who informed a few officers. Finally, the matter reached Sadar police station. SHO Amandeep Singh Brar said that they went to the dhabha, brought the girls and handed them over to the parents after getting a written assurance. The girls were also told not to take this step again.
