Schools hold poem recitation,declamation contests

Ram Lal Bhasin Public School,Phase-1,Dugri,organised English poem recitation competition on Thursday.

The studnets who participated with enthusiasm expressed their views through poems on subjects like “A girl child,” “Try try again,” “The future” etc. S Verma,the school director,appreciated the efforts of the students. Tarannum Fatima,the shool headmistress,also applauded the winners of the competition.

The results were as follows: Nursery:Gursimran,Prabhleen and Kuwar.

Mont 1:Gurnoor,Ishnoor and Tamanna.

Group 1:Anjana,Kritika and Dular.

Group 11:Mehak,Pushdeep and Shivam Dhawan.

Group 111:Akriti,Rupali and manpreet.

Consolation prizes were given to Sukhdeep,Prachi and Saurav.

Bhariya Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School,Udham Singh Nagar,organised with different views of 26 participated on the topic,“Should parents send their children to the boarding school”. There were varied responses to it,some expressed their views in favour while others against.

Those who were against the motion emphasised on moral values and bond of affection between child and home. In this,Loveena Dhamija stoof first,Ruksana,Richa Munjal were adjudged joint second and Deepika Miglanai was third. Surbhi Narang got the consolation award. Sunil Arora,the school principal,gave away prizes to the winners and appreciated the endeavours of the students.

Primary Humanities Forum of Kundan Vidya Mandir organised inter-house poem recitation contest. The participants not only recited the poems but also managed to grab the attenton of audience through interesting subjects. Namita Raj Singh,the school headmistress,presided over the contest and congratulated the winners.

Alpine International Senior Secondary School on Thursday organised English plays in which students from classes Ist to IIIrd participated to exhibit the talent of the tiny tots. The children came dressed up in captivating attires as Snow White,Goldilocks,Seven Dwarfs,Little Red Riding Hood,Woodcutter,Sparrow,Butterfly etc. and mesmerized the audience. Rajeshwari Dhir,principal of the school,appreciated the students and reiterated the value of extra-curricular activities in the school.
